Have you ever watched other people succeed at something and get great results, then you give it a go, and fail? Have you ever wondered why that is?
👉🏻The truth is: It’s not you!
It’s not them either. There’s something bigger at play.
🎧 Let’s say that you listen to a famous guru and they tell you that if you’d get up at 5am every day your whole life will change, and it will unlock the magical secrets of success.
That sounds good, right? Who doesn't want to unlock success!
So you set out on your new goal, and you do great for the first two weeks. You are pumped and excited and have your coffee in hand to get through the day. Your brain barely works 80% of the day because you are so tired, but it’s ok eventually you’ll adjust.
But then one of your kids gets sick and you are up all night with them, and then 5am isn’t far off from when you laid your head on your pillow. 😴
So you sleep and when you wake up you feel guilty because you are now “thrown off track”.
🤦🏼♀️ So you beat yourself up trying to get back on track, after all this is the key to success, without it you are screwed.
But what about those times when things feel effortless? Why sometimes and other times things feel like climbing a hill of ice?
Let me let you in on a little secret, the true magic to success. Are you ready?
Yea that’s right.
🛑 Not forcing things!
🛑 Not following someone else’s formula
🛑 Definitely not beating yourself up.
Just alignment. Tapping into that inner guide and cherishing THAT guidance and wisdom above everything.
Does this mean everything will go perfect every time? Well, yes and no, depending on your definition of perfect.
🙌🏻 Yes! It will perfectly guide you to your highest good.
🙌🏻 Yes! It will perfectly lead you on a path to the life of your dreams.
🙌🏻 Yes! It will perfectly get rid of anything in your life that isn’t serving your highest good.
🙌🏻 Yes, It will be perfect, and magical, and exciting and amazing.
We, just like every other living thing on this planet (and every other planet), are created to be in flow. Not sometimes, all the time. To live and breathe and move and act from a place of flow, connection to source, wholeness.
Anything outside of that will feel strained and hard.
The world can set us up to not listen to our inner guide. It starts so young. Babies are force fed milk, taught to “cry it out” in their beds, denied the basic human need of connection and safety.
We go on to school where they teach us to sit down, memorize and not have any thoughts of our own. They trap us in rooms where we never learn to socialize with anyone who isn’t our exact age.
Heaven forbid you have any thoughts or ideas of your own. Now that’s a travesty!
Then we go to college where we are further indoctrinated into the belief that we can’t trust ourselves and our own inner guide. We are taught to get married, get a job and wait until we retire to enjoy life. But then we are given the fears that social security might not be there when we retire.
What if… What if… what if…
But I say, what if we stopped living someone else’s idea of our lives. What if we laid outside at night and watched the stars and listened to our thoughts and inner guidance.
What if instead of hiring or listening to someone who tells you the exact formula to get our sh*t together, we started listening to our hearts to see what our hearts wanted to tell us.
What if instead of feeling like the only way to live life is to get a job we hate and stay there and suck it up, we started following our inner guidance and doing things we love.
We have everything we need right there inside of us, if we shut out the incessant noise of other people’s opinions and advice and start tuning in and listening to it!
You, my friend, are your own guru.
Your inner being will guide you to the most magical places. And you’ll know it by the way it makes you feel.
